Meet the Team

Join Silicon Labs’ Corporate Security team as an Enterprise/Cloud Security Engineer. You’ll play a pivotal role in our security engineering activities, focusing on enhancing the security posture of our Enterprise and Cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead penetration testing initiatives across Enterprise and Cloud solutions, focusing on the integration of hardware and software security elements.
  • Collaborate with ESIRT/Security Operations to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities specific to semiconductor technologies.
  • Drive security improvements and promote secure design principles that integrate hardware and software security components.
  • Conduct Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA) with a focus on semiconductor security features and vulnerabilities.
  • Document findings and recommend corrective actions for identified vulnerabilities, emphasizing semiconductor-specific security concerns.
  • Support Enterprise/Cloud Security Incident Response Team (ESIRT) activities, particularly those related to semiconductor technologies.

Skills You Will Need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools and techniques, with a focus on semiconductor security.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Understanding of hardware security principles and their integration with software security measures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify and mitigate security risks in semiconductor environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) with a focus on semiconductor security.
  • Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and their interaction with semiconductor-based systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and guidelines related to semiconductor security.
  • Background in secure coding practices and code reviews, specifically in the context of semiconductor technologies.
