What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to clinician and patient billing-related inquiries across various communication platforms
- Maintain accurate records of prior authorization requests, approvals, and denials in databases
- Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure effective service delivery to patients and clients
- Monitor and follow up on prior authorization requests to ensure timely approvals
- Stay informed about insurance policies to ensure compliance with prior authorization criteria
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare billing experience, preferably in prior authorizations
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Experience using Google Apps, Mac OS X, and CRM applications (i.e. Salesforce) strongly preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2+ years of experience specifically in prior authorizations within the healthcare billing sector
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- High energy, self-starter with a strong work ethic and commitment to patient care
- Experience working collaboratively in dynamic, team-based settings
- Familiarity with various insurance policies and healthcare regulations
