Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare, process, and embed Mohs specimens for microscopic examination.
• Perform sectioning and staining of tissue samples with precision and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with dermatologists and surgical staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment and inventory.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Updates and scribes patient medical information in an Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Communicate lab and pathology results to patients by phone or other methods.
• Coordinate surgeries with referring provider offices.

Qualifications:

• ASCP certification in histotechnology or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience in Mohs surgery and histology preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• 3 years experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic.

To be successful at our office you should be self-motivated, have excellent decision-making skills, and be able to document patient visits, from beginning to end, in an electronic medical record. You should have a caring, friendly personality and consider customer service a top priority.

Hours vary from 7:30-5:00 pm, and our team members are expected to work at both our East and West location, depending on the clinic needs.
