The Role

We are seeking a Finance Manger to serve as the strategic finance partner to the Worldwide Grocery Stores Real Estate team. This role will involve collaboration with a diverse range of business teams including Real Estate, Capital Planning, Launch & Expansion and Legal, to influence strategic decision-making and empower the business to make informed investment decisions.

Success in this role

A successful candidate will exhibit strong ownership, effectively navigate ambiguity, and collaborate with business partners to influence outcomes. They will prioritize high-impact projects independently and quickly build trust within the organization, supporting informed decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the P&L and Balance Sheet, able to clearly articulate the financial implications of Real Estate business decisions.

Fully own the Grocery Real Estate proforma analyses
Partner closely with Real Estate, and Launch & Expansion, to ensure accuracy of leasing reporting and tracking, and serve as the Finance owner for portfolio management across multiple grocery banners

About The Team

The Grocery Finance organization is dedicated to shaping the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omni-channel and new physical store formats across Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications

6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- 5+ years of experience in investment valuations (NPV, IRR, FMV, etc.)
