The successful Data Analyst will address NOVA's data requirements by developing prototypes and generating ad-hoc reports. This role will manage analysis requests, offering prioritized, data-driven solutions, while also contributing to broader Technology department initiatives as directed by leadership. Additionally, this position may involve overseeing and safeguarding critical and sensitive data assets.

Evolving as a Data Analyst by having...

High School Diploma or GED is required; bachelor's degree in finance, economics, data science, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in the Data Analyst role, including working with big data tools, Power BI, and SQL Server is required.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
2+ years' experience in a business analysis role and/or a BS in Data Science; Information Science; Business with an emphasis in MIS/Business Information Technology; Technical/Scientific Writing; or Systems Engineering/Design and Documentation or combination of experience and education.
1+ years' experience within the mortgage industry is preferred.

Develop, publish, and schedule reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.

Knowledge and experience creating ETL processes.
Excellent communication (oral and written), collaboration, and organizational skills.
Excellent quantitative skills, including competence with calculating descriptive statistics.
Experience with process improvement methodologies and change management techniques.
Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of designing, constructing, and documenting business processes, functions, organizational structures, business rules, policies, and procedures.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Agile Development and PowerBI.
Experience with mortgage-related software like Encompass or other LOS platforms.
