Compensation and Benefits

The typical base pay range for Software Engineering IC4 across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year.
Base pay range for this role in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
For Software Engineering IC5, the typical base pay range is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year.
Base pay range for this role in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.

Skills

Technical engineering experience in building web services with languages including Python, C#, C++, Rust, Java.
Building scalable services on public cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience using container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
Extensive systems knowledge spanning bare-metal hosts to containers to networking.
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Build secure and performant AI Platform services that power Copilot.
Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, application engineers, and AI Researchers to build next-generation AI products.
Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
Navigate roadblocks to get work into the hands of users quickly and iteratively.
Thrive in a fast-paced, design-driven product development cycle.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience.
4+ years’ experience building scalable services on public cloud infrastructure.
4+ years’ experience using container orchestration technologies.
4+ years’ experience building distributed systems at scale.

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).

Experience Requirements

4+ years technical engineering experience in web services.
4+ years experience building scalable services on cloud infrastructure.
